The Ultimate Flight Simulator Yoke

By John Peters

When we first begin flying aircraft with a flight simulator, we’re happy to fly the training planes and develop our knowledge and skills of flying. Its only once we are confident we know how to fly that we start to think about what kind of aircraft we really would like to fly given the chance..

Many of us had dreams of becoming an airline pilot when we were young and for one reason or another it didn’t work out. But if we still are interested in flying a passenger jet then we can fly one of the planes like the Boeing 737. At over 6000 delivered, the Boeing is the highest selling jet aircraft ever. Around the world, every minute there are numerous Boeing 737′s taking off and landing. It’s no surprise that this aircraft is also a favorite for flight simulator enthusiasts.

For those flight simmers that wish to take the experience of flying a 737 to the ultimate level, forget about using a joystick or a standard off the shelf yoke to control the plane. You need to consider getting a proper 737 yoke. Yes, a yoke has been built that is a replica of the actual control used in the 737 aircraft.

Forget about trying to fix the joystick or yoke to your desk, a real 737 yoke will stand on the floor. It’s great having a standalone yoke that has its own space on the floor, you can have a permanent simulator cockpit setup.

The 737 yoke is great to add to your flight simulator controls. It connects easily with a USB interface and with metal and aluminum construction will feel sturdy and realistic in your hands. The 737 yoke is expensive, but if you are a real flight simulator pilot looking to replicate flying a 737 as close as can be, it just may be what you’re looking for.
