Scented candles are becoming a growing home decor item that practically every home now has dotted around. I can well understand the attraction, after all I run a scented candle company. Why put up with the smell of pets, cooking or tobacco when you can enjoy far off fragrances like Coconut Breeze, Mimosa & Mandarin or even Mango & Papaya Smoothie!
The choice of scents available in the scented candle market is mind blowing. From tomato vine and sandalwood through to citrus scents such as lime cooler and lemon drops, the list goes on. I find that floral and fruit scents are very popular with exotic scents such as coconut, Mediterranean fig and our best seller, baby powder selling very well.
Candles are also available in a whole variety of unusual fragrances. These are less usually associated with candles and include fragrances like fresh coffee, fresh bread, liquorice, banana nut bread and tomato vine (to name but a few). These exotic fragrances are becoming more and more popular. Some companies even use unusual scented candles to promote something completely alien to the scented candle market. For instance, White Castle recently launched a hamburger scented candle!
Mixed fragrance candles that change fragrance as they burn are also appearing on the market. For instance, we stock triple scented jumbo candles that have three fragrances in one jar. These fragrances mix and alter as the candle burns.
Thats all great but why Soy Scented Candles?
My choice of candle is one made from soy wax. Why soy wax? Soy is a sustainable plant based wax made in a similar way to margarine. The soy beans are crushed and the extracted oil is hydrogenated to form a solid wax. The resulting candles made from soy wax are just fabulous. Long lasting (about 30-50% longer burn time than paraffin), are beautifully fragranced and are quality through and through. They also burn flat in glass containers with no tunnelling.
The main advantages of Soy Wax Scented candles can be summarised as; * Burns fantastically well and flat in glass container candles (no tunelling) * Made by small indidual companies that care passionately about their products * Soy wax is a plant based wax which is totally sustainable
Enjoy soy scented candles and enrich your home with beautiful fragrances whilst knowing you are not harming our world.
