With more than 30 years of history behind, Medifast is getting more and more credibility on the bodyweight loss diets market, especially with over 20 thousand physicians recommending it to their clients, including those who suffer from diabetes. What is Medifast though? It is a carefully established diet thought to help you lose weight without depriving you of the essential vitamins your body needs in order to work right.

So the main question arises: what can you really eat during this weight loss diet? Well, if you go by the 5-and-1 plan, you will find a excellent variety of foods you can enjoy while going on a diet: from fish to lean meat to chicken and salad. You will also include a so-called Lean and Green meal for each day. Protein and fiber are also included in the sizes therefore your muscles work the correct way when you are shedding the extra weight.
