Inhaled Allergic Reactions Are A Major Social Buzz Kill
Allergic Reactions are never amusing. Although every bit as serious, it’s different if you have food or drug or even hereditary allergy. But the form that gives you an vicious reaction to what you breathe in is a major anti-social problem.
All allergic reactions, whatever type they are, are all equally critical. Let’s be clear on that. But breathed in allergies are, hands down, the worst social life destroyer. Drug and food allergic reactions you can avoid by just not taking or consuming them. But most of the time, you don’t get to have a say on what tiny particles the air around you carries so you cannot prevent having inhaled allergies.
Envision yourself in a meadow having picnic with your boyfriend or girlfriend, but you can’t even enjoy the picturesque ambiance because the pollen on the nearby flowers are giving you a tough time breathing for a full minute without sneezing.
How about avoiding riding in a convertible with pals on countryside roads because even a tiny speck of breathed in dirt could start your skin rash? It also ruins romantic moments. When they give or receive flowers, it’s very sure that they will have watery eyes and do a lot of sneezing. The saddest part is, some can’t even have pets at home just because they are allergic to them.
And that’s how inhaled allergies destroy your social life.
And those are only the “mild” symptoms! With allergies, your fun is limited. It’s hopeless to bask in a romantic afternoon outing or a crazy road trip with friends, or even get a hairy pet because you know what will happen.
There are antihistamines you can take, but some, if not most of them, can render you drowsy enough to make you miss out on the fun entirely. They may be far from perfect, but they are your best bet when confronted with a situation that sets off your allergy. After all, the only other thing that can heal allergies is to avoid getting them.
Better arm yourself with antihistamines wherever you go. Have the non-drowsy kind if you can find any. You never know when you will need it so it’s best to be ready. And of course, have a physician look into your allergies. There might be something else he or she may prescribe that will help you.
