How To Keep Your Relationship By Stopping Your Snoring

Looking for some fun? Whatever you do, Don't Click Here!

It’s not fun to lose sleep only because you happen to share a room with someone who snores. Just suppose what will happen to you every night if your sleeping partner snores? It won’t be a good night every night. The snorer isn’t affected that much because he doesn’t even hear the noise while he is sleeping.

As funny as it appears, snoring isn’t a light matter to ignore. It puts strain to relationships. It’s not everyday that you will find someone who is a heavy sleeper and doesn’t get bothered with the noise at night. It creates stress between husbands and wives or partners. And we all know what a sleepless night means when waking up in the morning. It produces more stress.

It’s not a question of whether you really love your snoring partner or not. What counts is that you, as the non-snorer, are being denied of a good and continuous sleep at night. It makes you think that your partner is being a little selfish by sleeping uninterrupted while you lie awake at night, anxious for a sleep.

Although snoring is involuntary, you can still do something to stop it. If you are the one who snores, you can try the following steps:

The first thing to do is lose weight. As cruel as this sounds, studies have shown that obesity plays a big factor in causing you to snore. Avoid or decrease alcohol and cigarettes too. Without intoxicants, you muscles can relax more. Smoking increases clogging in your throat, lungs, and nasal passages, barring the otherwise smooth flow of air.

Some snorers are also going for chin straps. What chip straps do is hold the mouth shut so the snorer is forced to breathe through their nose during sleep. There are also those who go for hypnosis to put an end to their snoring.

Perhaps before buying new gadgets, the first measure you should take is to see an Ear-Nose-Throat specialist. ENT doctors can give you precise diagnosis of your problem. You may have engorged tonsils or other enlarged tissues, which cause your snoring.

Others may find the mentioned measures not only troublesome but also pricey. However, if you care about your partner, then no step is too big or high for you. Think about it, even though you think you’re not the one who suffers with your snoring (you do, there are health hazards with snoring), you are letting your loved one suffer each night. And with one of you unhappy and troubled, your relationship will plummet.

Is sinusitis negatively affecting everything in your life? Improve your life’s quality with the help of an ENT.
