Aloe Vera Juice Side Effects And You Www.Aloeverajuicereview.Com

By Tom Granger

The recent explosion in the popularity of aloe vera juice has people everywhere talking about the many known benefits of this miracle supplement. Made from the gel of the aloe vera plant, the juice contains many of the same healing properties that are found in aloe creams and ointments, but adds to them with an astounding array of positive internal effects as well. Of course, with any new supplement, there is always a risk of side effects. In that regard, aloe vera juice is similar to many other supplemental compounds in that its effects can vary from individual to individual. Nevertheless, it is always important to review the possible negative effects that can result from ingesting any new substance.

Concerns are minor

The good news is that the only side effects that have thus far been reported by users of aloe vera juice all involve minor irritants. In fact, most side effects occur only in people who are currently using prescription medications or who are consuming far too much of the juice. People who use the juice properly and in moderation may occasionally see one or more of the side effects covered below, but their appearance is rare. In most cases, using aloe vera juice within a normal, healthy nutritional plan is a safe and effective way to receive the best benefits that the aloe vera plant has to offer.

Digestive side effects

The most commonly reported effects are in the area of digestion. Stomach cramps and incontinence are among the most cited complaints, and both have a logical explanation. They are the result of the irritation caused by the latex that is an essential part of the juice’s creation. The latex sometimes unbalances the body’s electrolytes, leading to pain and diarrhea. Some people can handle it better than others. In all cases where these symptoms appear, cessation of use is always recommended until you have an opportunity to review your use of the product with a physician.

Have allergies?

Aloe vera juice can also cause minor allergic reactions in people who are sensitive to the plant’s natural ingredients. For instance, some people have developed minor rashes, itching, and other skin irritations when using aloe vera topically. Those people should not drink aloe vera juice unless their physicians have ruled out an allergy to the plant as a possible source for their discomfort. Though the allergic effects of aloe vera juice generally manifest in a mild form, it is always better to be safe than sorry in such matters.

When not to take it

There are even some people who fall into risk categories that make the juice unsafe in any quantity. These include women who are pregnant (miscarriage can result from consuming products like these), senior citizens, and very young infants and children. For the latter two groups, the concern lies in the juice’s effects on potassium levels. It lowers them to levels that fall below the threshold minimum for people at the extremes of either age group. In addition, do not take this product if you are already suffering from serious intestinal conditions, until you have taken the time to review your treatment plan with your attending doctor to ensure that aloe vera juice is safe for you.
