Anti Aging Your Skin With The Right Foods
By Vicki Chao
A lot of people happen to be very particular with their looks. This fact isn’t difficult to understand even with the thousands of advertisements for anti-aging creams and lotions that parade unbelievably young looking ladies in their forties and fifties. The process of aging is due to the action of free radicals that you accumulate each time you eat and you expose yourself to harmful pollutants.
But you don’t have to despair. Antioxidants hamper the action of free radicals and such substances are found naturally in fruits and vegetables. You can actually eat you way to vibrant skin.
Tip # 1
Studies have shown that berries, plums and canteloupes contain more antioxidants as compared to other fruits. That is why munching on strawberries will get you younger looking skin a lot faster than, say, bananas. You don’t have to revamp your entire diet to accommodate berries.
You can make a strawberry smoothie for your dessert or add frozen blueberries to your cereals.
The Big C
Vitamin C is required in order for you to have healthy-looking skin, nails and hair. The vitamin is an absolute must if you want to look refreshingly glowing. A great source of Vitamin C is oranges. If you like to eat oranges as they are, you can trade in your current snack treat for a piece.
Oxygen
As long as you don’t eat six eggs for breakfast, you’ll be able to ward off the excess cholesterol and the under eye circles as well. Eggs are a great source of iron which is required by our red blood cells for oxygen take-up. When you have enough oxygen being transported by your vessels, your skin will in turn have a brighter glow and you can sport that natural blush minus the eye bags.
