Asbestos was once used broadly in commercial and residential building jobs. It is a strong substance that is certainly even stronger than steel. It also is unaffected by heating, chemicals and does not conduct electricity.

All of this combined made asbestos an awesome building material. However, through the years many health problems have been involving asbestos. Health problems first showed upwards in people that worked closely with asbestos, but it seemed to be soon realized that even people who did not work closely with it, yet were exposed to it may also experience health problems.

There are a few different types of asbestos fiber. Chrysolite, called white asbestos is among the most common form of asbestos used in the United States. Amosite or brown asbestos fiber is made from light gray as well as brown fibers. Crocidolite or violet asbestos is made of blue material.

Chrysolite, Amosite and Crocidolite are forms of asbestos fiber that were most commonly used to create products. Such products include building materials, sewage transfering, roofing, siding, electrical line casing, tiles, paints and various construction materials. Asbestos have also been used in automobiles for motorola clutch and brake parts. In industrial settings asbestos was implemented for filters in refreshment machines, flooring and cigarette smoking filters. Asbestos was used using a great level for a variety of products thus making the invention of its health risks important for all people.

Asbestos is dangerous while breathed in. It is very hard to assess if asbestos is present in the air because it does not cause immediate troubles like coughing or scratching. Symptoms may not appear pertaining to 10 to 40 years after being exposed. Diseases caused by asbestos fibers are hard to treat and most normally impossible to cure.

Asbestosis is one popular asbestos related disease. Them causes an inflammation in the lung area. Mesothelioma is a rare asbestos fiber disease that is a cancer on the outside lining of the lungs and abdomen. Asbestos has been associated with other forms of cancer of the lung. Asbestos related diseases are very painful.

Asbestos is no longer employed due to the health concerns surrounding the item. Asbestos is most dangerous if a product made from it is worried and the dust is produced into the air.
