Pimples and acne are problems that are actually shared by both teenagers and adults alike. Skin spots, zits, blackheads and other skin acne related concerns have psychological effects in an individual that makes finding solutions to this common skin problem a very important undertaking.
This problem with acne is not a simple one. As a matter of fact, it is quite complicated because there are a lot of aspects that affect the skin and the occurrence of any skin conditions like acne. There is no perfect way to cure or stop acne from appearing, but there are many ways to mitigate and prevent its severe occurrence and more importantly, its recurrence.
1. Wash your face regularly to keep the pores free from any blockage. Washing eliminates excess oil, dead skin and damaging germs. Keep in mind, however, that excessive washing may result to dry skin that has the tendency to make existing pimples worse due to irritation.
2. Exercising is a good way to keep your skin healthy because sweat can help clean the pores. However, be sure to wash your face after exercise because dried up sweat can also aggravate acne.
3. Be more conscious of what products you put on your skin especially your face. If you are using lotions and makeup always look for the non-comedogenic variety so as not to aggravate existing acne.
4. Watch what you eat— going on a diet full of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant vitamins will definitely help fight off bacteria that cause occurrences of acne. Also, avoiding too much food that promote inflammation such as sugar and food containing trans fats in your diet will help your skin in its battle against acne.
Acne prevention is not a perfect science but with a little bit of discipline along with the above tips, you will increase your chances in succeeding making your skin better at dealing with acne.
