Anxieties are feelings that for most come and go. Yet for acute sufferers this is far more than something that just comes and goes. Major incidents, referred to as attacks, escalate to the point that a victim becomes incapacitated. Yet there are signs that by regularly consulting bible verses anxiety can be overcome.

Life for large numbers of sufferers has grown to be intolerable as a result of this illness. Symptoms can vary between patients and present themselves in a variety of ways. While for some it may be something as basic as leaving their house, for others it could be a fear of the outdoors. Others react to events in life, work or engaging with people socially.

Indications of an attack vary from perspiration, hyperventilation, the shakes, palpitations and cramp in the tummy. In serious instances it can involve pain in the chest similar to a cardiac incident, inability to control the bowels or bladder or even total physical breakdown and irrational behavior. People who have no first hand experience, often fail to comprehend how the condition can have such devastating impact, yet this is the reality for many sufferers.

The illness may be suffered at the same time as a depressive condition which can make diagnosing and treating the condition more difficult.

A type of spiritual treatment found to be of assistance to some is meditation on selected texts in the Bible. Many role players within Biblical events were under intensely trying circumstances and naturally affected by their anxious feelings. Successful outcomes were due to people overcoming their fears through faith. The writings of the Apostles contain many inspirational teachings by Jesus that deal directly with anxiety.

Prophets and leaders from other religious groups also provide extensive guidance on this subject through their writings and teachings. Following are probably some of the better known Biblical passages from the which may prove useful in bringing some peace and calm into the lives of those gripped by their anxieties.

The accounts as recorded in the Gospel of Matthew 6 verse 25 till 34, compare the lives of people with that of birds. The key to the analogy is that a bird does not farm with seed to secure a crop, yet they lead prosperous lives by the grace of the Almighty. Revealing that people are cared for in similar fashion he goes on to compare beautiful lilies with the splendor of Solomon and posing the question whether a lifespan can be lengthened through a worried anxious outlook.

Throughout the old and new testaments relevant references can be located in the texts of the Psalms, especially number 23 and 55. The twelfth chapter of Luke and fourth chapter of Philippians will calm and reassure the constant worries and fretting from which many suffer.

A reputable life application Bible or alternatively a specialized Biblical reference website is the only additional resource required to locate these and more inspirational readings. It is reassuring to realize that in this high tech world, through an ancient book of bible verses anxiety can be treated and healed.
