Millions of people all over the world suffer from this chronic diabetes problem that may result in a range of complications responsible for disabilities, reduced quality of life, shortened life expectancy, and pregnancy-related complications for the mother,the fetus or the newborn baby.

Diabetes is a condition that can be prevented naturally with a balanced nutrition and can be controlled by engaging in basic exercises. Diabetes is a disease where the pancreas(a part of digestive organ)is unable to secrete enough insulin. That why doctors advise diabetics to avoid sugar-rich foods to prevent unhelpful reactions. According to the studies, there are already millions of individual that are diabetics and might exceed to 350 million by year 2030 which sounds alarming, doesn’t it.

Types of Diabetes

In type 2 diabetes, either the body does not manufacture enough insulin or the cells pay no attention to the insulin. At this point, insulin therapy is necessary to maintain normal or near normal glucose levels. If you gestational diabetes, you may also need to take medicine to control your blood sugar level. As pregnant women enter their second and third trimesters, the more hormones are secreted since they are pregnant in which the body demands more insulin makes it more difficult for the insulin to help their cells absorb the glucose.

This causes the blood sugar to builds up in the blood instead of going into cells making the pancreas produce even more insulin.


If oral medications are still an insufficient form of treatment for your type 2 diabetes then you should consider taking insulin. In no time you will be able to continuously enjoy life without the worries of your diabetes. For type 1 diabetes, advances in blood sugar monitoring, diabetic diet, exercise, and insulin delivery have simplified the daily routine of managing or preventing the condition to get worst.



Diabetes hinders our body’s process of in-taking foods that we need to converted into energy. Now once we encountered insulin scarcity, diabetes may take place. Now, once these foods enter the digestion process, they will be converted into glucose in our bloodstream which is a form of sugar that our body uses as a fuel. Diabetes consists of three types, one is the Type 1 diabetes, the second is the Type 2 diabetes and the third one is gestational diabetes. Another type of alternative diabetes cures are acupuncture, yoga, reflexology, and ayurvedic herbal remedies.

Since bitter melons are considered to have twice the potassium compared to bananas at the same time increase the amount of beta cells, these melons may help the pancreas to produce insulin.
