Electronic Cigarette Users May Find E-Juice And E-Liquid Choices A Bit Overwhelming

By Jt Abney

As electronic cigarettes become more and more mainstream, it appears that e-juice or e-liquid has become an industry in and of itself. For the newbies, here are the basics: Electronic Cigarettes look, feel and taste like regular cigarettes but instead of burning tobacco, when you smoke an E-Cigarette you inhale a warm and soothing nicotine based water vapor that is free from the carcinogens and tar that are commonly found in cigarettes. There are many electronic cigarette review sites on the net that can help you to figure out the best brand and model for you.

Another advantage of e-cigarettes is that you can add different flavors to them in the form of e-liquid. There are various types of e-juice flavors that you can enjoy with electronic cigarettes or e-cigars. A lot of folks still don’t know what e-juice is. Essentially, it is the fluid that is used to refill your electronic cigarette cartridges. About 30-60 ml of e-liquid is needed every month, but it really depends on your personal habits. If you’re an occasional smoker, it will last longer. However, if you smoke non-stop then you may need more.

E-Juice, or smoke juice, is available in many different sizes, such as 10ml (milliliter), 15ml, 30ml, and 50ml bottles. You can also pick the nicotine content in the juice – anywhere from zero to as high as 36mg (milligram). There are quiet a few flavors of e-juice, such as: licorice, cola, vanilla, cherry, strawberry, chocolate, banana, apple, and of course tobacco and menthol.

Purchasing e-juice can save you a lot of cash because it allows you to refill blank e-cigarette cartridges up to 12 times before you have to replace the cotton-type filling that’s inside the cartridge.

Nicotine solutions usually consist of nicotine diluted in propylene glycol or glycerin, both common food additives. Some companies believe that vegetable glycerin is a safer additive than propylene glycol. They also commonly have a variety of different flavorings added. Nicotine solutions sold separately for use in refillable cartridges are commonly referred to as “e-liquid” or “e-juice”. Solutions are available in a variety of different flavors and nicotine concentrations. Nicotine concentrations range from high doses (to mimic the content of regular cigarettes) to midrange and low doses.

Dosage generally follows the same patterns as regular, light, and ultra-light strength cigarettes. Solutions are also available which contain little or no nicotine. Some flavor varieties attempt to resemble traditional cigarette types, such as regular tobacco and menthol, and some even attempt to mimic specific cigarette brands, such as Marlboro or Camel. Solutions are also available with other flavorings, such as strawberry, orange, mint, vanilla, caramel, coffee.

How to figure out the lifetime of an e-liquid cartridge?

The life of your cartridges and e-juices will generally go together. For example, if you’re using a 15ml bottle of e-juice and you need 2 to 3 drops of it to take 7 to 14 drags, it would last you around 300 cigarettes. Usually, a bottle of smoke juice will come with 5 empty cartridges, i.e. – mouthpieces with cartridges inside. Also take into account that the quality of the e-cigarette that you are using is crucial. The better your electronic cigarette, the more efficient it will be with e-juice and cartridges. It’s important to do your electronic cigarette reviews homework before purchasing.

The number of e-liquid flavors is staggering. With more being released daily, here some some of the latest: Amaretto, Banana, Banana Split, Blueberry, Caramel, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Raspberry, Cinnamon Danish Swirl, Coconut, Coffee Bean, Cola, Cool mint, Crumb cake, Double Chocolate, Egg Nog, French vanilla, French Toast, etc.

It only takes a few drops of e-juice in your e-cigarette and you’re on your way to flavor land.
