How to gain weight – many people ask how you can lose it, but if you want to know how you can gain it, we have a few quick tips. While anybody can claim they want to add muscle, not everybody achieves this for a number of reasons. Failure can result from a number of things – in many cases, the diet or the exercise regime may not be that well thought-out (or the diet could be rich in forbidden foods), but in most cases it is because the endeavor in itself is NOT constant and consistent in nature. To build muscle and learn how to gain weight, you must be willing to give 100 percent to the cause. EVERYDAY!

A large percentage of those who struggle to gain weight fail to include enough protein in their everyday meals. More protein in your diet means more weight gained – it’s a simple, natural fact about gaining weight. Your body will require hundreds of additional calories each day along with a strength-training regimen. Your body needs fuel to build muscle and add bulk. Make sure you consume enough extra calories each day. Remember that your body is adjusting – it is going against the pre-established norm, so to negate this you’ll want to be constant and consistent in consuming more fats, carbs and especially protein to gain weight. Eating the right diet will also serve as the “mentor” as your body learns to naturally expand itself.

The eventual slow-down of metabolism is one of the realities we have to deal with as we grow older. This is why you may notice people gaining in weight as they creep into middle age, but this isn’t quite the case with everybody. These are people who still find it very hard to gain weight even if they are older, with slower metabolism. These are called “hardgainers”. You may have seen photos and stories of young men who self-identify as hardgainers, but this too applies with women, so regardless of your gender, you just might be one of those so-called hardgainers!

One of the best and most time-honored ways to gain weight would be weight training, natch. Your primary focus should be those large muscle groups, as you exercise them and train with free weights. You would likely have a quicker metabolism than the average person if weight gain has been one of your challenges. To get around this, you may try short bursts of physical activity, more intense workouts done about 4-5 times a week.

How to gain weight – so many people have asked this before, but hopefully we have provided the answers, with the brutal truth bereft of any sugarcoating.
