Welcome and thank you for checking up on volleyball drills. I am going to share with you my favorite warm-up exercise. I have two national championships and I am a firm believer that if the players are participating in exciting and entertaining drills, they will definitely benefit greatly. Really like keeping employees happy boosts productivity, keeping players satisfied increases being successful. I can virtually ensure it.I also believe that that an enjoyable, productive warm-up is essential in getting the team into the practice. Get started hard and conclude hard. The team will enjoy this in the long run.Anyways, to literally my personal favorite volleyball drill.

Ten Foot Line Game

And so the following warm-up is a game. Divide your group into two teams and have one team on each side of the net. The game is performed contained in the ten foot lines, so past the ten foot line is out of bounds. The purpose will be to win rallies, such as a normal game. You are able to play to 25, however it will tire them out so i advise playing a couple games to 15 and a third if you need a tie-breaker.

The kicker here is that every time a person touches the ball, he or she must run and touch the end line. So as soon as they touch the ball, may it be a pass, set, or attack, that player will have to race back to the end line, then get themselves back into the game. The coach is there to pop balls into the game. I always like to give a ball to the team that just won the last rally.

Try to remember, the players will be rather fatigued between games so give them a minute to catch there breath prior to starting the next game. Additionally, have them change sides. That contributes to the authentic feel and competitiveness.

One particular rule that I add to the game is this: If one side fails to utilize all 3 hits to get the ball over the net, the full team has to race to the end line and back, while the other team is using their three hits. Additionally, if you have too many players, you can play a version in which players sprint to the end line and another player replaces them. That player should not enter until the player makes it to the end line.

I assure that this warm-up will be beneficial and you will like seeing it. Try jumping in with your players as well.
