There are endless ways to get in shape – but finding ways that don’t make you dread your exercise can be a little more difficult. This is why I’ve put together my top five fun ways of getting fit without even trying. These are a little creative and different from the norm, but they’ll all help you to get your body back in shape.
Dancing is a fantastic form of exercise but, more importantly, it’s fun! Out of all the ways to get in shape, this one is perhaps the best. You could start by putting on some loud music at home and dancing around the house, or you could take up a regular dance class. There are so many different types of dance that there’s bound to be one that suits you. Take a friend and turn it into a regular night out!
2) Get Your Pet Involved
If you’ve got a dog then it’s time to start bonding. It’s great fun going for a long walk or run with your pet – you’ll see how happy it makes them and it’ll eventually make you fitter, too. Run around with the dog, throw some balls, just get him excited and worn out!
3) Play Some Sport
It might seem daunting to go down the gym four times a week, but replace this with playing sports with friends and you’ll feel a lot more motivated. Whether that means playing football in the park or just throwing and catching a Frisbee – these are all perfect ways for you to enjoy yourself and help give yourself more ways to get in shape without even trying.
4) Sign Up for A Charity Run
Everyone believes in a good cause, so if you want to do a good deed then why not sign up for a sponsored charity run? Not only will you be helping to get yourself back in shape, but you’ll be doing it for something you believe in. There is no better motivation!
5) Play A Game
One of the most popular ways to get in shape these days is to use a fitness game. Games like the Wii Fit help to motivate you to exercise by turning it into a game. If you’re one of those people who really can’t motivate yourself to get out and active, then buying a game like this could be just the thing you need!
