Household Mold Symptoms And Why You Should Be Concerned

By Lee Dobbins

The symptoms of household mold are many and generally rather random, ranging from a runny nose to lung bleeding. Mold infestations are a hazard to both individuals and the homes in which they reside. Aspergillus, Mucor, Penicilium and Alternaria are indoor molds which commonly impact those who spend plenty of time in the particular dwelling. Cladosporium is an outdoor mold which also can affect those who live around it, although not as drastically as the inside molds. Other fungus include the much more harmful types of black mold that are recognized by their names Stachybotrys and Menoniella.

The less harmful but still bothersome molds that occur inside and outside houses cause symptoms that can usually be treated with antihistamines or pharmaceuticals. The outcomes of household fungus consist of allergies along with recurrent ear infections, migraines, intense headaches that happen weekly with no known cause, fatigue, throat irritation and itching of both nose and eyes too as a runny nose with sniffles and sometimes causes eyes to be red and tired. Some or all of these signs and symptoms might occur with a mold infestation.

The more harmful black molds can cause severe outcomes and those who reside in the residence that is infested with it. Such signs and symptoms contain blood pressure irregularities, infertility, Asthma, respiratory and digestive track problems and in some instances injury, nausea, lethargy, lack of concentration, memory loss, dizziness, urinary track difficulties including infection, pain inside the inner organs and in some rare instances bleeding of the lungs.

All of these effects can badly harm any person living within the environment and might be specifically dangerous to those that have a weakened or lower immune system for instance elderly or infantile occupants. So, it can be crucial to stay away from it.

Mold can have various appearances, all of them instantly recognizable as mold but frequently the person is incapable of distinguishing which kind of mold it is. It can be important to recognize that most molds which are mere nuisances use a fuzzy look to them, grow in spots and come in a range of colors for example grey, green, brown and black. True black mold, however, only ever grows thick and black, and often has a white tip on the outer edges.

This kind of mold can also have a slimy texture to it. All molds are likely to smell stale or musty and never relaxing, and this smell can travel throughout a home via air condition and heating, hence spreading the spores.

All in all, mold is not a desirable thing to have inside a home no matter the circumstances. It causes harm to the physical construction of the house and also to the people who live there. This injury may be temporary or long term and must usually be dealt with as soon as possible.
