How About We Build Insane Muscle?

By Jessica Colby

Is this what you want? To build insane muscle mass? To be ripped? Do you want to see yourself in the mirror the same way you see body builders in the gym? You can have that feeling. Genes do not matter. The only thing you need is incredible work ethic and a determined mindset.

The first thing you need to do in building a body that is the envy of everyone else in the gym is to burn off the excess fat in your body. There are many ways to burn fat as well as many ways to supplement your fat burning activities. By supplementing your fat burning activities you can replace fat with muscle quickly.

Cardiovascular exercise is one of the best ways to burn fat. In fact, it is the easiest way to burn fat. Cardiovascular exercise can include a number of things from running to power walking, swimming to cycling, even jumping rope. There are so many things you can do as well as a number of ways in which to perform each of those cardiovascular exercises.

The best way to build muscle mass is to do intensive strength training. However there is a trick to having a defined figure when it comes to being muscular. You must first burn off body fat, and while this is time consuming it is worth every bit of effort in the end.

If you would like to get a head start on forming your figure you can do some exercises that will not only burn fat but will also tone the muscles you currently possess. A great way to do this is to perform burn outs. Burn outs do what is implied in their name, they burn fat and wear you out while toning muscle and building endurance in a timely manner. There are a couple ways to do a burnout. Single weight burn outs are very simple and very quick, multiple weight burn outs take a little extra determination to keep up with, but both help you work up a sweat and build arm strength.

Single weight burn outs are very simple. You start out with low amounts of weight on a curl bar or dumbbells. The only difference between using a curl bar and dumbbells is that you will have half the amount of weight on the individual dumbbells as you will on the curl bar and each arm will be done individually as opposed to being done together. Once you have decided on your weight you will start holding the curl bar or dumbbells as if you are about to do curls. You start by doing five curls, then five half curls, bringing the bar up half way, then with five half curls the other way, bringing the bar half way down, then you finish with five more full curls. Do this in rapid succession. In between these sets make sure to do some tricep workouts to balance what you are doing for your biceps.

Multiple weight burn outs are generally performed with a straight bar since it allows more room for adding weight. These work endurance more than single weight burn outs because you do sets in rapid succession, only taking time to add a little weight at a time until you have added a total of about 15 pounds, followed by taking off small increments of weight at a time.

Burn outs are great ways of burning fat and toning your muscles so that they get that defined look you so badly want before you really build them into weapons of mass envy. Try to do burn outs two to three times a week and supplement with lower body and core workouts during the rest of the week. Once you have noticed that a good amount of fat has burned away and that your muscles are taking shape you can start to do some intensive weight training, supplemented with a high protein diet to help put on mass. But make sure you work out plenty, because the extra mass you put on will only be muscle mass if you work hard at it.
