How I Hate Bathroom Mold!

By Wally Glenbroke

I once went to a house which was so immaculate that it was disgusting, there were no traces of bathroom mold at all, nada, not a single trace. How that house achieved that is totally beyond my imagination. Maybe having an army of household help would be the secret, and as I cannot afford to have an army, well then I guess I would have to just be more vigilant and vigorous in my attempts to get rid of that bathroom mold that just keeps on going and going and going.

Probably, for me, the most gratifying experience was when I finally found a product that not only made my life easier, but made getting rid of bathroom mold feel like I had won a battle. Curiously or surprisingly enough, it was my daughter who led me on to the discovery. She said that she was trying to clean a cut on her knee with hydrogen peroxide when she accidentally sprayed it on the bathroom wall. She ignored it and continued cleaning her wound and just plain forgot about the incident.

I was surprised when I saw a really clean spot on the bathroom wall and I asked my daughters what had happened. When my daughter saw the area she remembered and I saw that the bathroom mold on that one spot had disappeared. So we did a little experiment, just sprayed the hydrogen peroxide straight to the areas with mold and they started to sizzle. After a while, when the sizzling disappeared, the mold went with it.

Bathroom mold cleaners are one of the most prevalent products in any grocery store. There are shelves upon shelves dedicated to the products which are not surprising as to the tendency of homeowners to try everything in their power to arm themselves for removing mold, especially if it has to be that obnoxious black mold removal procedure.

There are also a lot of homemade remedies which can aid in mold cleanups. The ingredients are commonly found in all homes and all you need to do is to mix them up and you have a strong solution in your hand. There are also green solutions which are harmful to bathroom mold but are harmless to mammals and this is a good thing. The strong chemical smell can sometimes make someone faint.

With whatever mold removal products are available in stores everywhere, including the homemade recipe, my days of vigorous scrubbing of bathroom wall may not be over, but definitely, the ridding of bathroom mold is now easier and less of a stressful experience.
