How To Treat Different Genital Warts

By John Maddox

It is not always simple to deal with genital warts. In fact, while there are plenty of treatments, up until recently there was no true way of dealing with the cause of these warts.

Genital warts are caused by a virus, the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is not affected by any treatments. However, brand new treatments might really remove HPV. Since you may not realize you have HPV until after a genital warts outbreak though, it is still valuable to know about the various treatments available.

The first form of genital warts treatment methods are topical applications and creams. You won’t find these creams at your local drugstore, however-you’ve got to go to your doctor for them.

This is something you should do, anyway, because some outbreaks are worse than others, and you will probably need to have a lot more than just a cream. Nevertheless, for small warts or a light outbreak, creams may work.

There are three primary forms of genital warts cream treatment methods. They include Imiquimod, a cream that actually helps your immune system battle the outbreak. However, Imiquimod can weaken condoms, so you should avoid sex while using it.

Podofilox is one other cream that attacks and kills the warts. Your doctor may actually want to apply Podofilox at first because it may irritate your skin. If you’re pregnant, Podofilox is not an option for wart removal because your unborn baby can absorb the drug.

The final topical ointment is Trichloroacetic Acid, or TCA. TCA burns off the warts, and since it may really damage your skin, only your doctor may apply it.

If the topical creams don’t work, your doctor may recommend surgery. These surgeries are generally performed as outpatient surgeries, meaning no overnight hospital stay is required.

The first involves freezing the genital wart off utilizing liquid nitrogen. This makes a blister form around the wart, and as the skin under it heals, the warts actually slough off.

Sometimes, however, it takes numerous cryotherapy treatments to really clear up an infection. The opposite of this is electrocautery, which uses electrical currents to actually burn away the warts.

A much more powerful treatment surgical procedure is excision. This requires local anesthesia because your doctor will actually cut away the warts. Normally, other forms of treatment are tried before surgery.

Lastly, the final and most expensive treatment is laser treatment. It’s a fairly new form of genital warts treatment, and it’s expensive. Generally, it is just used after all other kinds of treatment have failed or once the outbreak is very huge.

You no longer will need to deal with this skin disorder, it is time to get control of your warts! You can easily eliminate Warts for good using this exceptional Cure For Wart.
