This method utilizes various items to give the smoker a dose of nicotine to deal with the withdrawal symptoms. In time, the nicotine doses will gradually be reduced and eventually discarded all together. This process is potentially very useful, as it usually means that the smoker has quit the cigarettes and can manage their withdrawal symptoms effectively. There are many different types of products used to aid in the process, with the most popular being chewing gum and patches.

As you explore stop-smoking techniques you will find a variety of ideas that are very interesting, yet somewhat unconventional. Although it is difficult and even overwhelming, there are many ways to quit smoking. Which method that is right for you can only be determined by you. It is advisable that you stop cold turkey in an effort to rid the body of nicotine and end lung exposure to smoke which is very dangerous and presents many deadly long term effects. However, there is no shame in seeking help with the various treatment methods available to you.
