Try going for at least an hour without any of these before you go to sleep, this should help to produce more saliva. Dentists say to try chewing a piece of sugar free gum before bed to stimulate saliva production and stop dry mouth at night.

Having a cigarette or chewing tobacco during the course of the night will also cause your saliva production to go down and give you a dry mouth at night.
