Natural Remedies For Hemorrhoids

By Aneron Kepasil

One health issue people are talking more and more about these days are the horribly painful hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids consist of irritated veins surrounding the anus. When agitated they are known to bleed, become itchy and sometimes burst. Hemorrhoid pain can be very discomforting and if not treated in a timely manner they will only become worse over time and harder to cure. With today’s medicines there are many ways to treat them and give temporary relief. Many people take a more natural and herbal route, while others use medicated creams and suppositories.

Colon hydrotherapy (or colonic irrigation) is a natural solution to hemorrhoids. With colon hydrotherapy, warm and cold water are used in an alternating fashion in order to relax and then constrict the vessels. Because hemorrhoids are characterized by poor circulation, this process is used to get the blood flowing once again so that circulation returns to normal.

Hemorrhoid sufferers often seek treatments in a doctors office. A common procedure is banding hemorrhoids which will likely be considered by a doctor. Banding hemorrhoids involves the removal of hemorrhoids by placing a rubber band around it, effectively cutting off the blood supply. After a couple of weeks, the hemorrhoid will fall off. Unfortunately, banding hemorrhoids can cause several complications. These include infection, blood clots which will cause further problems with hemorrhoids, increased discomfort instead of pain relief, and excessive bleeding. These complications make many people wary of banding hemorrhoids.

Some solutions to this problem are to not strain while using the toilet. As hard as this may seem, straining can cause more serious problems like tearing of the soft tissue in the anal area. It would be best to just relax and let your body excrete natually in the care and treatment of hemorrhoid.

There are many products on the market that utilize witch hazel. Hemorrhoids are the three varicose veins inside the anus that swell during bowel movements and the various creams and solutions made up of the herb witch hazel go by several names. The usage instructions will vary with each individual type of witch hazel hemorrhoids treatment.

There is a newly approved supplement in the prevention of an internal hemorrhoid. It’s called calmovil. It has been approved by the FDA to properly promote blood flow and decrease clots. If taken as directed, it can help regulate your digestive system to decrease diarrhea and constipation. Make sure you increase your fluid intake when taken any supplements as the result of the supplement can affect individuals differently.
