Natural Treatment For Sinusitis

By Aneron Kepasil

The symptoms of Sinusitis are capable of turning anyone’s bright day into a dreary one. The main symptoms of Sinusitis are usually a runny or stuffy nose that is accompanied by pressure and pain in the face. Movement of the head will often worsen this experience. You may also see a greenish or yellow discharge when blowing your nose or even from the back of your throat when you cough up. If all of that wasn’t enough, another commonly reported symptom is having a reduced sense of taste and smell.

One option to relieve the sinus pressure and nasal congestion associated with sinusitis is to flush the sinuses with a homemade saline solution. Saline solution can be made by combining one-fourth teaspoon of salt, one-eighth teaspoon of baking soda, and 4 ounces of warm water. Using a bulb syringe, you can flush your nose two to four times per day. This can greatly help to alleviate nasal congestion and help the nose to drain.

Sinus irrigation is one natural method for treating Sinusitis as well as preventing it. This practice includes running a stream of warm saline water mixture through one nostril and letting it drain out the other. Debris and bacteria are then washed out of the sinus cavities, preventing infection and clearing the airways.

While there are antibiotics that can be used to battle sinusitis, such medications only go so far. Luckily, there are several chemical-free cures that can be used, such as steam. Humidity is one of the easiest ways to clear up the sinuses, either by standing in a hot shower a few times a day or by creating a steam tent: lean over a pot of hot, steaming water and drape a towel over your head, enclosing the steam as you inhale the vapors.

Use a vaporizer it works as a natural decongestant to loosen up the secretion and soothe those inflamed membranes. The nasal cavities also become dry and irritated causing you to feel a burning sensation in the nose. Use a humidifier to put back that the natural moisture we usually have in the nostrils when we are healthy, but loses when ill.

There are antihistamines that can be taking to give you temporary relief, but its best to use when going to bed since they cause drowsiness. If you would rather a natural remedy that is safe and effective at getting rid of sinus symptoms, with no harmful side effects as antibiotics and other chemical drugs. Try Sinuvil its been clinically tested to promote a healthier immune system, soothes the inflammation in your sinus cavities, in order for you to breathe better. It gives you a boost of energy to revitalize you and make you feel better then you did before the sinus infection.
