How To Cure Tonsillitis With Home Products
By Anne Scots
Even at an early age we learned that it literally hurts to gulp down if we have tonsillitis. Others claim that we get swollen tonsils if we eat too many candies or take too cold drinks, but tonsillitis is in fact either a bacterial infection or a viral infection. Children and young people are more vulnerable to get tonsillitis, although anyone can have it. And while it is a widespread condition, it is fortunately not life-threatening or fatal. It can leave after a few days even without medical treatment, provided that it has no complications. But if you want to accelerate your recovery or to alleviate the pain, you can do self-treatment at home.
If you have bacterial infection, you can treat your tonsillitis by drinking antibiotics. For viral infection, you can reduce your pain and finally eliminate it by preparing natural home treatments.
The most popular home cure is the salt and warm water gargle. Add around a couple of spoonfuls of table salt to your lukewarm water and rinse your throat with the liquid. Many people guarantee its efficiency, saying it helps alleviate the irritation.
Other gargle solutions that have great reviews are the powdered mustard and the fenugreek seeds mixture. For the mustard powder, mix it with hot water before gargling to clean the germs in the tonsils that induced the infection. Meanwhile, the preparation for the fenugreek seeds rinse begin by boiling the seeds with water. Let the mixture to cool down before rinsing your throat with it.
Heated milk with a sprinkle of turmeric powder is another easy-to-make home treatment for tonsillitis. Turmeric has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties so it helps cure tonsil inflammation. You can also prepare a paste mixture from turmeric roots mixed with warm water. You can apply the mixture externally around the throat.
Drinking hot teas with honey and vegetable juices are also effective as tonsillitis cure. The important thing during your recovery is to steer clear from irritants like smoking cigarettes. Also, stay hydrated all the time. Drink ice-cold beverages to numb the throat and reduce the pain.
If you need immediate treatment for your tonsillitis or if you need to undergo allergy testing, go to the medical experts. (6782). Check here for free reprint license: How To Cure Tonsillitis With Home Products.
