Baldness is on the rise in our times, due to any number of factors, from the food that we eat, to exposure to chemicals, to genetic reasons. Regardless of what the reason is, the fact remains that people are losing hair, and they want to do something about it. So it follows that there are so many products available for those seeking a male baldness cure.

Baldness is an emotional issue because those with thick hair are considered youthful and energetic, but those without hair are considered to be old. Everybody wants to look young, so when they start losing their hair they become desperate to find a cure.

There is no shortage of products that claim to be a treatment for baldness. There are numerous ads in television and magazines. But there are no regulations to guarantee that the product will be effective. As long as it is not overly injurious, it is permitted.

According to dermatologists, however, there is no single treatment that can solve hair loss for everyone. Each patient’s situation has to be considered on a case by case basis. Treatment has to be decided based on a number of different factors.

Many pills are available for treating hair loss, but these should be taken with caution, after discussion with a doctor. Propecia is one of the most commonly prescribed medicines, but it only works in certain cases of baldness, and to a limited extent.

Rogaine is a product which has shown to have some success in slowing down the rate of baldness, but it can hardly be considered a complete cure since it cannot completely regrow lost hair. It is applied to the scalp using a spray or a dropper.

Lots of herbal and natural products, as well as techniques like electromagnetic scalp massage, or advertised as being effective, but other than testimonies from people who claim that they work, there are no independent studies to back up their success.

Side effects of drugs is a very real concern for any treatment. Even if something has been approved by a regulatory drug agency, this is not a guarantee that it is completely safe. These drugs are approved only to the extent that they do not cause harm as far as is known, but they are accepted using studies which are often incomplete. After a few years, there is the possibility that other studies might show them to be harmful.

The most effective solution for hair loss is hair transplantation. This is a surgical procedure involving removal of hair from areas where it grows in abundance, usually the back of the head, and transplanting it to the bald areas. There is a limited number of hairs that can transferred, so one should not expect too much thickness in their hair, but depending on the skill of the surgeon, it should look natural without too much of their scalp showing. There may be some discomfort a couple of days following the operation, but this should subside.

Lots of people claim that they have found a male baldness cure, but don’t believe everything you read or hear. You should perform thorough research before you decide to spend money on anything, otherwise you may end up spending it for nothing.
