Relaxation is good for the general health and relaxed vision habits are very good for your vision. Most of the today’s vision conditions come from the over stressed eye muscles and straining. There are couple of major reasons behind straining to eyes. One is brought by stressed mind and another by staring to the same distance objects, eg computer monitors or television for too long. By learning the right way relax our mind and avoid staring, we are able to greatly help to boost our vision habits and our vision in whole.

Straining is the main reason for many eye conditions, for example nearsightedness and farsightedness. By learning how to relax out mind one can greatly reduce straining and avoid getting blurred vision.

Silencing and relaxing our mind is really not a straightforward task. Below are few tips that could be useful.

The purpose of relaxing mind is to move all energy that’s stuck into head down through the body to be ‘exhaled ‘ thru the feet. Lie on the back and imagine your breath moving from lungs down the entire body. When you exhale, imagine air cutting down to your feet, passing through all organs on the way. Continue this image until all the air from your lungs is breathed out. Breathe naturally and once the lungs are full of air again, repeat the exhale with imagination. You will find this straightforward exercise will leave your body more relaxed and mind much calmer.

How to deal with gazing at television or computer screen for long hours? If you have to spend dull hours in front of computer, be sure take away your eyes from the monitor and glaze somewhere in distance at least every 20 minutes. Then switch back and repeat. In this manner your eyes will adjust a new focus and avoid straining. The same applies when watching television. Be sure change your eye focus or let them wander any place else during commercials.
