Oh Hemorrhoids! They hurt. They itch. They make you uncomfortable. They can take over your life. Hemorrhoids can interfere with your enjoyment of life, as they can be an ever-present nuisance.

Hemorrhoids are caused from veins on your rectum and anus. These veins swell and become inflamed. There are several things that cause them. Constipation is a leading reason. The veins become inflamed with excessive pushing to move stools due to constipation.

There are four kinds of hemorrhoids: first, second, third, and fourth degree. First is the most minimally severe. And fourth is the most severe. There can be bleeding with any degree, but the bleeding in higher degree hemorrhoids is the worst.

Home remedies can frequently alleviate the symptoms. Surgery might be needed.

(1) Milligan-Morgan Procedure — This operation involves the excision of the three most serious hemorrhoid types. Three pear-shaped incisions remain open and are separated by bridges of skin and mucus. This hemorrhoid surgery is the most common.

(2) Ferguson Procedure — This operation involves incisions that are partly or fully closed. This procedure results in elevated levels of post-op discomfort. Plus, it necessitates hospitalization for a 3-day period.

(3) PPH Procedure — This method treats the prolapsed hemorrhoidal tissue by removing the prolapsed anal mucosa membrane using a circular stapling device. There is less pain after this surgery than other surgeries.

4) The Harmonic Scalpel – This is a unique form of energy that, on contact, cuts and coagulates hemorrhoidal tissue, minimizing lateral thermal tissue damage. It is utilized when dealing with large hemorrhoids that may bleed during surgery.

5) Laser Surgery – Utilizing a laser beam, the hemorrhoid is removed or vaporized. Lasers are more precise and accurate. There is very little pain with this surgery. There is also quicker healing.

(6) Atomization – In this procedure, hemorrhoids are vaporized and vanish. This can be accomplished without causing a lot of bleeding. You will get better results afterwards with this surgery.

This is a list of surgeries that might be necessary in instances where home treatments fail to work. You doctor might select surgery for a number of reasons. Surgery may be recommended when hemorrhoids recur repeatedly. In cases where bleeding persists, an operation might be deemed necessary. Surgery is normally needed for prolapsed hemorrhoids. Surgery is essential for hemorrhoids that have blood clots within them.

Doctors will try other treatments before trying surgery. Rubber banding sometimes works for hemorrhoids. Injections are also an option. In this procedure, an injection of drugs is administered into the hemorrhoidal tissue in an attempt to reduce the size.

Don’t let your hemorrhoids go untreated. Do whatever treatment it takes. Don’t delay. Make sure you are getting the best treatment possible for your hemorrhoids.
