Tempur-Pedic is possibly the most popular producer of memory foam mattress. However, they don’t dominate the market. There are actually more affordable products and brands from companies like Bergad, Leggett & Platt and MerchSource that are viewed by others as the more practical choice because it is not as expensive but delivers the same result.
If you are like me, you would think a bed is a bed and that has been my attitude for so long. I never cared much for any of those technologies until a started trying out new mattresses. I am now very aware of the differences. What I want to do is really lay out a scientific way of doing a Tempurpedic mattresses reviews. Let us look at it from different angels: comfort, durability, practicality.
Positive * The actual material they are using as a foam, called the memory foam, really follows the shape of your body. After several minutes of lying down, it molds itself on your body shape. This allows you to sleep in your natural body form and not force your body to adjust to the bed you are lying down on.
Durability The memory foam is more durable than the spring ones. Springs, as we move, are also forced into positions or forms that are not natural for them. It gets deformed and naturally breaks. The shock it takes also take a toll on its lifespan.
It is not likely to sag right away because your body weight will always be fully supported. With beds with springs, you are likely to put more pressure on a specific spot. This will cause those springs to get deformed faster. With memory foam, that is not a problem.
Negative * The foam is one solid material so the air does not circulate. This means that your body head is thrown back at you. There is a solution though, just use a blanket over it. The thickness of the blanket is up to you. * There are some people who really like their bed soft, they may find this a bit too firm. However, that is purely subjective. It will really depend on your preference. * When it is new, it has a certain kind of odor. It is not pleasant but not superbly disturbing either.
