The Immune System And What Causes Diseases And Illnesses
We live in an environment where natural conflict is all to normal. As Darwin plainly stated, evolution is all about survival of the fittest. We we stood to be the strongest among all species. We developed to be the most advanced and intelligent creatures in the world.
Our survival depended a lot on our immunities. We have to rely on the immune system to fight off invasion by bacteria, viruses and other harmful elements.
The immune system helps us keep harmful organisms from getting into our bodies. With our immune system, these elements cannot proliferate. Without the protection of the immune system, our bodies are open to all types of foreign elements that are detrimental to our health. Take a look at a decaying body. In a couple of hours upon death, microorganisms start decomposing it. When a person dies, the body’s immune system shuts down. Imagine what will happen to us if our immune system shuts down while we are still alive.
Weak bodies have weak immune system. If our bodies are weak, we are prone to acquiring diseases. The most common among these bacteria or viral diseases are tonsillitis, croup and angina. Lacking in defense mechanisms will allow the body to get infected.
Croup is an infection on the upper respiratory tract. The throat infection is caused by a certain virus. The treatment to this disease is epinephrine, steroids and antiviral treatments.
Bacteria and certain viruses cause Tonsillitis. Tonsillitis is commonly accompanied by fever and flu. For bacterial tonsillitis, antibiotics are enough. However, there hasn’t been any treatment found to shorten the duration of tonsillitis due to viruses. Chronic tonsillitis on the other hand requires tonsillectomy.
In order to maintain optimum health, we have to start with our immune system. It’s the best way to prevent viral and bacterial invasion.
Millions of microorganisms threaten to invade the body all the time. This is why we have to keep our immune system strong. Click here for treatments on angina, croup and tonsillitis.
