The Reality About Death By Sugar

By Beth Hoover

For people with diabetes, death by sugar is an unfortunate possibility. That is because diabetes is a condition in which the body cannot properly process sugars. Technically though, diabetes is due to an insulin problem and not a sugar problem. Nevertheless, it is indeed sugar that can cause problems for those dealing diabetes.

Ten percent of the diabetes cases have had the condition since their childhood. This used to be the most distinguished type of diabetes, but is now called “infancy diabetes,” since it’s been overtaken by another major form of the disease. There’s another form, called “gestational diabetes,” but this is usually not cause for concern as it happens in pregnant women when they can’t meet some of their nutritional needs , and is so non-permanent.

The task of insulin in the body is critical. It transfers glucose from the blood to the liver, where it is processed to create energy for the body. Diabetes occurs when there’s a malfunction in this process of using insulin to transport glucose, and not really from the eating of too much sugar, as some might believe.

Nonetheless sugar is the simplest and fastest kind of glucose that you might consume. Unfortunately, it’s also what is used to make so many foods that taste good. By consuming too many of these kinds of foods, it can affect the way your body processes sugar. Accordingly, if you would like to avoid death by sugar, you have to avoid or restrain food and drinks with excess amounts of added sugar.

If you’re afraid of death by sugar or the sugar blues, then you should really know it’s not likely if you live a healthy life and eat a well-balanced diet and keep away from refined carbs. So long as your body gets the nutrient elements it needs in the right proportion, everything should be fine.

Sugar addiction is no occasion for humor, sugar addicts unite! The time’s arrived for overcoming sugar addiction and exposing the crafty sugar supplier’s seductive methods.
