The Reasons You Gain Pounds Despite Efforts To Lose It

By Manuel So

Any training session, when done correctly, will produce great results. It might take time before you view the effects, and with the proper diet program, losing weight will be very simple. However, if you prefer to eat plenty of food without keeping track of the quantity of calories, then, shedding off your excess poundage will really be very hard for you.

Still, diet is not the only cause of weight gain when one follows an exercise program. Other factors can affect weight gain such as the type of exercise you adhere to, not eating enough calories (as opposed to eating too much!), or an unknown medical dilemma.

Walking is a popular way of getting rid of excess pounds. If you allot 30 minutes a day for walking, surely, you will see some great effects happening in your body. But then again, this depends on the pace that you are following. If you complete a 30-minute brisk walking in an hour’s time, then you will not burn any calories at all. Continue with this regimen for about a month and see the results. Increase the amount of time you spend on brisk walking and add some variations like yoga and dancing. This way, you don’t only concentrate your exercises on just one muscle area, thus, the result is you burn more fat.

Consider, too, that often, a good workout must go jointly with a naturally healthy dietary regimen unique to your needs. On the other hand, if you’re a novice, and just starting with your fitness program, you would tend to exercise more and not take notice of your particular calorie consumption. In this case, oftentimes, you end up consuming more calories than what you actually necessitate and suffer from the weight gain by eating too much. Now, eating a lot when undergoing a fitness program is not really bad. What you just need to remember is that once you increase your food intake, it’s also wise to enhance the power of your workouts.

The same holds true when it comes to eating fewer levels of calories. You can’t totally remove fats and carbs in your diet as these daily food groups provide you with the necessary energy to complete your exercise routines. Moderation extremely important here. What you should do is eat in small portions but increase the frequency of eating so you don’t feel any hunger pangs that would certainly drive you to eat more.

Sometimes, the cause of difficulty in losing or weight gain is a medical problem. When you’ve got a thyroid ailment, then you lose either excessive weight due to an over-active thyroid (hyperthyroid) or gain tremendous pounds due to an under-active thyroid disease (hypothyroid). Hormonal imbalance is also a leading cause of weight gain even though you do your exercises religiously.

Being familiar with the actual root cause of your weight loss or weight gain problem will definitely help you choose the perfect exercise program to follow. But, first, consult with your doctor to rule out any medical-related problems prior to starting your fitness program. You would not want to make matters worse for your health condition, right?
