AHH! There is no worse feeling than eating your favorite food and to be suddenly hit with tooth pain. The pain can be anything from mild discomfort to excruciating pain. This could also happen to you during the weekend when the dentist is not available for tooth pain relief. You really don’t want to underestimate this.

What is one to do? Well, there are several ways to ward off the pain until you can see the dentist. You can take Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Advil are pain relievers you take internally. The natural remedies that are popular are Clove Oil and Toothpaste. You put on the painful area and let it sit. Either one of these pain relievers will work wonderfully. My favorite is the Clove Oil. If I cannot find that, I just buy a box of cloves in the spice department and suck on them. Or, make a tea out of it and rinse my mouth out with it.

Hopefully one of these methods has cured your tooth pain. So let’s consider why you had the pain in the first place. It could be the tooth has become broken or chipped or it may be decaying. There could be a problem with the gums of even the bone around the tooth. The nerves around your teeth are extremely sensitive and could become exposed or damaged. You may have pain caused from your jaw or any of the muscles in your mouth for example if you have knocked it.

If you have a filling in your mouth it could have cracked due to heat or just from being worn. From years of brushing you may have exposed too much of the tooth and the gums could have resided to expose the root, which will then be very sensitive when you have hot or cold food. It could be something more serious such as tooth or jaw pain from Angina or a type of heart disease.

That is why is important to see your dentist promptly so that they can diagnose the source of your pain.It goes without saying that regular brushing and flossing will definitely help with tooth pain relief and help you to stay on the top of things, along with regular visits to your dentist.

You have to remember that your heath is key and just as you would take care and pride of your car, home, clothes etc, you really must take care of your body. The bottom line is, there is only one you.
