Treating Thrush With The Use Of Some Ordinary Medicines

By Tristan C. Berczy

There are some effective ways of treating thrush which could either be the use of over the counter medicines, prescriptions from doctors, and homemade treatments that are verified. The root cause or the main reason for a thrush to occur is the presence of Candida that might be growing in number due to some factors. And in order to do away with Candida, you must directly apply medicines or other treatments that are highly concentrated on killing the fungi.

One effective way of treating thrush is to apply Nystatin to the infected area daily. Apply Nystatin several times a day as long as you feel itchy or feeling like you need more to entirely eliminate the fungi. Another medication usually approved by doctors is the use of Diflucan. However, unlike Nystatin, the application of Diflucan will rely on the recommendation of the Doctor depending on the level of thrush you have.

There are also homemade treatments that are applicable in treating thrush like the use of Cidar Vinegar which is to be mixed to warm water where you rinse your mouth with the solution at least four times a day. You should also be conscious about the food you are eating because too much sweets and carbohydrates will enable the Candida to grow more and reproduce at a faster rate. Garlic is very effective at eliminating Candida so you can either eat garlic or press it and apply to the infected area. There is that powerful substance inside the garlic which weakens the fungi and absolutely get killed after a while. Do not just right away use herbs or medicinal plants to treat your thrush, you should examine first and only go for what is proven and tested.

There are two ways of having thrush, it can either be an oral thrush found in the mouth or a vaginal thrush located in the vagina. In case for vaginal thrush, you are advised to take a hot bath to clean your body especially your vagina and at least eradicate the fungi with the hot water. Control methods used during sex like condoms, lubricants and other else can worsen thrush so it would be better to talk with each other first before one can be transferred with the infection and to prevent worsening as well. You can do it later or ask the doctor’s idea on how to have sexual intercourse without affecting and getting affected by the infection.

Aside from washing the mouth with warm water, another way of treating oral thrush is to use lemon juice or tea tree oil. There is no danger in using these kind of home remedies because these are already proven and tested by medical researchers. Never swallow the water or the juice after you have rinsed your mouth and make sure that you are doing it for at least four times a day.

If none of the treatments have made you feel better with your thrush, it would be the ideal time for you to ask for the doctor’s advice since it might trigger to a more serious medical problem. Any other basic effective means of curing infection or treating thrush might no longer be used in case of more infection.

This article on treating thrush is a essence of this matter. It captures the basics of these subject matter.
