Walking The Weight Off

By Martha Orem

Why not begin walking your weight off?

The extreme battle for any working mother is the impediment of acquiring time in their day to physical exercise. For stay-at-home mom, it could be even extra tricky simply because kids will regularly go along with the adventure which means a plethora of distractions.

One of the most effective forms of exercise is walking which is also an easy exercise plan to start with because you are able to set your personal goals and limitations as you get on with your new fitness exploit. People may try to convince you to sign up for your local gym, walking for physical exercise allows you the capability and flexibility to physical exercise anywhere and anytime you want.

Even though an open schedule is great when you are starting out, it is essential to plan your walks. Pick out a set routine for 3 weeks and write it on your calendar and plan the rest around your walking routine. The reason is that you will discover it easy to break exercise commitments simply because you put someone else’s needs before your own. For 3 weeks, put your overall health and well being foremost.

Begin slow. It’s also a great idea to begin with two 10 minute brisk walks before plummeting into a full twenty minute power-walk. Unless you’re extremely overweight and/or have health problems, you should be able to begin your walking plan with the two daily exercise sessions and do these 5 days a week. I highly recommend you take a couple days off a week so you do not get burnt out.

Start your walking program on a Monday. Should you truly want to improve your health then also change your eating and sleeping habits too. By eating right and getting a good night’s rest each and every night, you’ll see spectacular improvements in not only your health but also your overall feeling. You can achieve so much more if you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle while taking on a life-changing and possibly life-saving walking plan.

Walking the weight off may be just what the doctor ordered, but please be sure and ask your doctor before you start this or any exercise program. In particular, if you are twenty pounds or more overweight and haven’t been actively involved in any other physical exercise program.
