Cracking The Fat-Loss Code – Outsmart Your Body And Start Burning Off Excess Tummy Fat

The only way to understand how to lose belly fat without surgery is to make some lifestyle changes. These are following a healthy diet and doing appropriate exercises. Stomach fat is really stubborn and it takes hard work to lose it. But if you stick to your guns, the result will be a new sleeker you.

The first step is to cut out all that junk food. They say ‘you are what you eat’, so forget about the junk. It’s the high sugar content and refined carbohydrates in junk food that are the culprits. When digested, they cause the blood sugar level to quickly rise. This only makes you hungrier.

Don’t keep chips, candy or cookies in your home. Stock up with healthy snacks like seeds, nuts, wheat-free crackers, low fat yogurt and fruit. Snacks like these will keep your blood sugar in check and satisfy hunger pangs. You will soon get to enjoy your new snacks if you don’t keep junk food at home.

Carbohydrates are essential for health, but there are good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates. Foods that contain refined flour should be avoided. Some examples are pasta, white bread, donuts, biscuits, and cakes. They cause an accumulation of fat, poor digestion, and bloating.

Fruit and vegetables are rich in good carbohydrates. Also eat foods that have slow-release carbohydrates like oats, pulses, brown rice, and sweet potatoes. A healthy diet is one that gets its carbohydrates from foods such as these.

Look for foods with a low GI (Glycemic Index) when shopping. These are foods that are digested slowly and are therefore released into the bloodstream gradually. This will keep you feeling fuller for longer because your blood sugar level will remain constant. Wholegrain bread is a low GI food.

A healthy meal should look like this: The carbs on the plate should be about the size of your palm, and the protein content should be no bigger than a deck of cards. Vegetables or salad should comprise the balance of the plate’s contents.

If you are guilty of late night snacking, this is another habit you are going to have to break. When you eat before sleeping, the body cannot expend enough energy to burn calories. The food will just turn to fat.

Another belly fat culprit is alcohol. People who drink a lot of alcohol often accumulate fat around the waist. You must have seen many people who are quite slim except for an unsightly belly. Well, that’s usually caused by an excess of alcohol.

When you have your diet sorted out, you are going to have to confront exercise. Drag yourself off the couch, and get to the gym. Start doing exercises geared for the stomach. You can either buy a book or look on the internet. They must be exercises that are designed to get fat burning.

If you really want to grasp how to lose belly fat, your exercise routine should also include some weight training. But, with perseverance, you can get achieve fat loss.
