Your choices of food should ideally be natural, real food made; not human made, processed, food that is largely artificial.
Does that seem to be too hard to do all at once? You can start with a compromise in this department, if you need to. Commit to half your calories being natural, vegetables and fruits. Then, every month, increase the percentage of real food over the garbage. Just be sure that, no matter what, you stay within the calorie commitment you have made to yourself.
At the very least, cut out all sodas, including diet drinks. They are actually responsible for more fat than the non diet drinks, because they create cravings for carbohydrates. Drink lots of water, and green tea instead, and some grapefruit juice. All 3 of these beverages are proven fat burners and appetite controllers.
To turn your body into a 24 hour a day fat burning machine, use weight training as well as interval training. Weight training increases metabolism by building muscle. The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. Interval training involves short bursts of all out exercise followed by doing nothing and then alternating, for ten to thirty four minutes.
