One Facial Exercise for a Happier Face

Do you want to know if facial exercises work? You must know that are different opinion. So different, in fact, that they may become confusing. While some say definitely they work, other will even declare that facial exercises will make you worse. However, the ones claiming that the exercise makes you worse are the people who haven’t tried them at all. Truth is that what negatively affect your skin are the gravity and the natural loss of skin elasticity.

If you work on your facial muscles to keep them in shape, your skin will look much better. Why? Because facial muscles react to the exercises like any other muscle in the body. In other words, the facial muscles aren’t any different from the other muscles – with the only exception that we usually don’t focus on them when we go the gym.

You can find some exercises that apply to the face and neck muscles. As you perform them daily, they will influence the muscles of your face and consequently the way your face looks. Often statements are made, and these can be found everywhere, that “doing the exercise every day for just a few minutes will lead to great results in only few weeks”. These statements can disappoint people considering the fact that facial muscles need more time to react in such a way that can be seen.

The skeletal muscles are attached to the bones, while the facial muscles are connected to the skin care covers them. So this sets apart the two groups of muscles. Of course, the facial muscles are connected with other facial muscles and are tied to some bones. Because of this, the facial muscles start to lose their tone and elasticity, two main factors being gravity and age, and the skin attached starts to droop. And then when you look in the bathroom mirror you see that face.

I have to say that these exercises are not for people who are searching for a multivitamin or an injection with Botox that will give instant results. Facial maneuvers need devotion, patience and effort. However, you will get results with them. The new face that you will see in the mirror will make you happy.

An important exercise is the one for the eye muscles. This exercise may look easy to do. In fact it means to partially wink one eye at a time, and holding it for a moment, repeating then the movement. 50 are the repetitions to be made. You don’t have to scrunch up the skin inside the crow’s feet part while doing this exercise, but you have to contract firmly both the orbicularis oculi muscles around each eye and the nasalis muscles that are on each side of the nasal bone.

Why this exercise is so important is because the skin around the eye is the first indication of getting old, with the wrinkles around the eyes. Around the eyes there is the thinnest and most delicate skin. By doing this exercise you shouldn’t expect to remove the fine lines, but you can achieve a reduction. Another point to mention is that before doing any facial exercise you should put some vegetal oil or other lubricant on the area to be exercised. You may splash some water at least. Don’t do the exercise on a dry countenance.

Another way to deal with the facial muscles is to use devices like strips together with a special gel to firm the muscles up. The best example would be for a double chin.
