If you still think you can get by without flossing, here’s some more information that may help you see its value to your dental hygiene.

So, what happens if you don’t floss? First, it can lead to the buildup of plaque on your teeth. Plaque develops when food accumulates in the crevices of your teeth over time. This buildup of debris contributes to the formation of plaque.

Let’s be honest, plaque isn’t pretty. It’s says to the world that you don’t really care about your teeth. If you want healthy gums and teeth from plaque flossing, along with brushing is a must.

Don’t underestimate the positive impact regular flossing can have on your oral hygiene. It is a critical step in preventing gingivitis and other damaging gum diseases. Food debris that isn’t removed from can also irritate your gums.

Regular flossing is also a great way to prevent bad breath. Let’s face it, we all want to avoid the embarrassment of bad breath and flossing is an easy way to do it. Bad breath is caused when food particles get stuck in between the teeth. After a period of time they may begin to rot and smell.

So, if you care enough about your teeth to brush them daily why not go the extra mile and floss regularly? It doesn’t take much time and the benefits are substantial.

The good thing about flossing is that it’s inexpensive and takes just a few minutes to do each day. The more you do it the easier it will become and a part of your daily routine. It’s a simple way to be healthier and feel good about yourself.
