Berenguer Dolls: The history of the artists

Berenguer Dolls have a lifelike quality to them that almost seems a little creepy. The minds of two great artists shouldn’t go unknown, so I am going to cover a little bit about them.
Creating dolls may just be work for some, but it was a way of Life for Jose Berenguer. From Spain this artist aspired to become and artist, and show his work through the art of doll crafting. He would begin sculpting his masterpiece, and devote every day of his life doing so.
1944 is the year where all of the magic started to happen. Jose Berenguer started his passion for doll making. He was doing just as he dreamed. Creating every innocent look of a baby flawlessly in every doll he hand crafted.
The most popular Berenguer dolls today are the original and reborn brands. The reborn doll is the second brand of the doll, making them even more valuable. In his time however Chelito and Pepin dolls were the most popular.
Jose was becoming very popular in the 1950′s and his work was becoming noticed by the public. He passed on his work to his son Salvador in the 1960′s. Being the son of a great artist with great work made for great zeal and enthusiasm.
Salvador was able to continue his fathers work with the same joy and passion of his father. He took as much pride in his creations as his father, eventually becoming a masterful doll crafter.
Known by the popular name BERJUSA JC Toys was introduce into america in the 1980′s. Very popular in the market for producing very lifelike quality dolls. Of course the artist behind all of this was Salvador himself.
Salvador has taken his fathers work very far and to great lengths which would make him proud. A country that bears great artists, Jose has set some high standards that could only been carried by his son.
