Safety is one thing that every new beginner in candle making should never forget. This is because there are many mistakes they do in process that ruins everything. For example if you fail to re-size the wax properly it will produce smoke which is harmful to your health. The solution is only to follow the instructions when making them. Other points to consider are here below.

Always make sure that the wax is not left melting, even if it is in a boiler. The hot wax can burn your hand if brushed on it. However, if the wax gets on your hand or part of the body accidentally, use cold water to cool. Avoid rubber gloves when near the heat, since they usually melt.

Glass jar should not be put on a wooden table without a plate under it. This is because the wood gets hot quickly and can result to fire. Ensure that the wax is on the microwave. If this happens it can cause fire since some parts of a microwaves burns faster than others.

Ensure that the room you are using is clean every time. The wax should always work at a degree of not more than 212 Fahrenheit. However, the wax that burns more than that produces vapors which can destroy things. It also produces harmful acid smell which can affect your breathing. When this smell comes out make sure the burn is turned off to let the wax cool.

Always be ready that the fire can occur at any time. If this happens ensure that you cover fire using a towel. The use of water is prohibited in eliminating the fire since it just speeds it. In your drain at home do not pour wax since it will burn it. This will result to damages and the repairing cost is high.

Molds should not be washed. You need to put them in an oven which is has a heat of 175 degrees using a sheet. The mold should be left in the oven for not less than ten minutes. Use the paper towel to remove the molds from the oven.

Ensure the candle holders are the proper size to enable the candle to burn properly. After wax has burned, use the freezer to remove them in the candle holder to leave them clean. Always have a scraper which is heat resistant for candle making in scraping wax.
