Techniques On How To Clear Your House Of Things That You Do Not Need

By Grace Spears

Many people absolutely hate to throw anything away. The reason for this is that they always think that they are going to need that certain item sometime in the future. As usual that never happens or at least hardly ever happens. Now here are some trips that you could use if you are like that.

Clutter is not only an eye sore but it can lead to all sorts of tensions in the household. The fact is we just don’t seem to be able to cope with clutter.

A great start would be to collect all of the broken toys and electrical items that you have and store them in a box. Write down the contents and date on the box and then store it away in the garage.

You then proceed to keep this box in your garage for about thirty days. If there is something that you need out of the box then take it out.

After your period is up you should then move the box somewhere that is out of sight. But again if you need anything from the box then by all means remove it.

Once 60 days are up you can then get the box and toss it into the garbage. The chance that you need something after 60 days is very minimal indeed. Obviously this does not include seasonal items.

The reason that you start with the broken items is that these are the ones that you normally keep on the pretence that you are going to fix them soon. But you could literally do this with any items in the house.

This system is great for teaching the kids to keep their rooms free from clutter and clean all the time. If you teach them to do this at least once per month with the toys they no longer use, you will be shocked to see how clean their rooms will be all the time.
