Online casinos are competing hard for the gamer’s money. One of their favorite strategies is the online casino bonus. There is no standard for bonuses so each casino has its own rules. There are several websites that keep track of casino bonuses and offer the visitor information about where the most lucrative bonuses can be found.
The free drinks and meals that brick-and-mortar casinos offer their patrons are not possible online. The bonus is the online version. A bonus is an amount of cash deposited in a player’s account by the casino. This money can be played just like the player’s cash that is deposited to activate the account. The money does have limitations on how and when the player can withdraw it.
Every gambling site has specific requirements about how bonus funds can be withdrawn. In many cases there is a wagering requirement. The multiplier varies but five times is a common value. This means the player must bet at least five times the bonus amount before any remaining bonus funds can be withdrawn. If the casino offers a $100 bonus, the player cannot withdraw his account below the $100 balance until after he has wagered at least $500.
A skilled player with a bit of luck and a good understanding of the casino’s bonus rules can manage to take out part of the casino bonus as a profit on his gaming. At the least, the bonus money can finance larger wagers or extend a player’s gaming time.
Skilled players are selective about the games they play. Carefully selecting the games with the lowest house advantage and using their skill to avoid stupid mistakes improves their success rates. Any successful gambler will tell everyone that knowing when to quit is very important.
Online casinos handle millions of dollars, Euros or francs… Etc daily. The security of casino money, player money and player information is very important. All online casinos make use of security companies that check and verify the site’s security daily. A dated security certification icon should be prominently displayed on the casino’s home page.
Online gamblers should verify a casino’s security before spending any time or money on a site. A huge bonus offer without a security certification is a sure sign of trouble. Players should never share information with unsecured sites.
As mention earlier, online casino bonuses are deposited in a player account. A gambler signs up for a player account at the casino before entering the gaming area. The account is activated by depositing money into it. Depending on the casino’s rules a fixed amount or a deposit matching amount is deposited by the casino. This is the bonus. The player’s deposit and the bonus deposit are wagered as cash in the casino. Winnings go into the account and losses are deducted. The bonuses can be one-time, monthly deposit matches, or annual player loyalty rewards.
