Looking for some fun? Whatever you do, Don't Click Here!

Radio controlled cars are immensely exciting and offer lots of frills and speed. There is so much choice for the enthusiast from electric rc cars to the larger and more powerful petrol rc cars which are all fun, dynamic and tunable.

In this article I am going to look at petrol rc cars in particular and what makes them so exciting!

Petrol rc cars are the largest of all rc cars and come in 2 sizes, 1/5 scale and scale. They are powered by powerful 2 stroke engines which are usually between 23cc and 30cc which run on regular 2 stroke petrol.

You can buy these radio controlled cars in various guises from buggies, monster trucks to track cars. It really does depend on what you are looking for in a model, whether you want to use it off-road, on a track or on both surfaces.

Due to improving engineering and technology, these awesome rc cars have good top end speeds, lots of power and are very tough and durable. They are much more durable than their smaller nitro rc car cousins because the engines are not so stressed and they run on unleaded petrol as opposed to nitro fuel.

There is a lot of choice out there for the modeller depending on what you want. At the top end you have HPIs awesome baja buggy and then lower down you have ShengQis hummer monster truck and XRCs awesome track car. Prices can also vary wildly with the top branded HPI baja buggy selling for almost 1,000 but XRCs XRC1 track car only costing around 300.

Petrol rc cars have so much to offer the enthusiast with great power and speed, realism, durability and lots of fun!

So if you are looking for a new hobby today, maybe you should consider entering the awesome world of 1/5 scale radio controlled cars!
