Which Is Better For MMA Power Or Speed

By Connor Smith

Looking for some fun? Whatever you do, Don't Click Here!

Whenever you are looking for MMA training, the question will arise regarding which is more important: speed or power. Actually, this is a question that arises in all areas of martial arts training and not simply MMA. Thus, what will be the greater attribute to seek? For instance, which of those attributes might be best to fear most when dealing with an adversary?

This is actually the answer: one is not better than another. You need to develop both speed and power to the very best of your abilities. You will need to cope with the speed and power of the opposition you might be dealing with. Really, you are unable to be considered a mma fighter or perhaps a martial artist without some amount of speed and power. The distribution isn’t always evenly present.

Quite honestly, no mma fighters actually develop 50/50 amounts of power and skill. You do not need even distribution of speed and power. You have to work drills designed to enhance speed and power. The end result will be a fighter that is aware of the strengths and restrictions of their own qualities and the way to use those attributes efficiently.

One other side of the coin should be to employ such attributes to handle the specific attributes of the opposition. MMA training needs to take this into consideration when developing what is necessary to be the victor in a match. Speed and power count for a lot when fighting a top foe. For this reason offensive and defensive strategies must be employed to arrive at the proper chance of becoming the victor.

In other words, all MMA training needs to deal with the growth and development of speed and power to some extent. You’ll find scores of drills that can enhance both of these attributes. Getting involved in such drills is certainly recommended given that they will help produce a well balanced and effective mma fighter.

When taking up MMA be sure to buy some Cheap Sprawl Shorts or Cage Fighter Shorts and some MMA Gloves.
