The initial chapters however, might not seem as enticing as they speak about the poverty of the country and other mundane stuff like living conditions there and the fact that you may get bronzed under the sun. The author here plans to seek out reasons for his own existence and the book centers around many ravishing experiences and journeys as he questions his faith and beliefs. The book has many engaging human aspects. The story also brings together moments of spell binding beauty as well as not so agreeable and humiliating circumstances. Needless to say, this is the terrific book for travel buffs.

Bill Bryson’s, The Lost Continent is another engaging travel fiction. This travel book written with a feel of mystery, talks about the writer’s trip to America. Amid many high points of the novel, trip to The Grand Canyon is among the most interesting of all. The writer roams through the by lanes of America all the while searching for familiar elements that may help him reach back home.

The Dharma Bums, by Jack Kerouac – What makes this book a step ahead of its counterparts is its strong and moving language. The book is written in such a way that it compels you to go through the last page. The book is replete of passion, which brings all the characters to life. All the characters in the book have been penned down with attention to detail. It is these engaging characters together with powerful language and prose that make this book worth reading.

Go ahead and give these books a read and you are bound to have a great time getting to understand about different destinations. Nevertheless, make sure that you wear your contact lenses or spectacles before you start reading any of these else you’ll strain your eyes. Happy reading!
