Ah, the beautiful country of Spain, Southern European pearl. The absolute love of my life. I have had a great interest in this country from the very first beginning. Since the first time I visited, I have been there many, many times and have seen the country in all its facets and from top to bottom. I have seen (to name but a few) Bilbao, Salamanca, Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla and Algeciras, a small but beautiful city close to Gibraltar.One of my favorite areas to visit though, is the region around the city of Burgos. It has beautiful mountain tops that all seem to be orange.

In the past I delivered special goods throughout Europe for a courier and that is why I can say I pretty much saw the whole of Europe. Spain has been one of the destinations I just keep on visiting since. The people of Spain love to live in the streets and live their lives with each other, like a big family on a holiday. And let’s not forget the environment. It is simply stunning. Just visit the south sometimes and you know what I mean. In particular the area around Algeciras is great.

Now, the climate is of course not that bad either. The south of Spain is a fantastic area to live life, especially during cold winters in the rest of Europe. You’ll experience comfortable temperatures of approximately room temperature, So, it shouldn’t surprise you that you will find a lot of retired people in the south, who enjoy their retirement sitting in the sun during winter.

But let’s not forget the beaches of Blanes and Lloret de Mar, close to Barcelona. And if you are not fully satisfied with Spain itself, then why not fly to the Canaries and get a tan on one of the beautiful beaches of the islands? Yes, if Spain itself doesn’t do it for you, then great locations like Tenerife and Lanzarote with their great climate and beaches will make you happy.

If you don’t like the white sand of the beaches and you are more of a city person, visit Barcelona and Madrid and enjoy the nightlife of Spain. I don’t think we have to mention here that both cities have some great restaurants and bars where you can stay all night long. And if you are a soccer fan, those two cities will give you the opportunity to visit a great match in an incredible soccer stadium. In summary: Spain offers a great variety of activity for anyone visiting the country. It’s time for you to visit, really!
