Where Do We Go For The Honeymoon

By Paul James Harrison

With the summer the wedding season begins. Besides choosing the dress, putting together the guest lists and sending out invitation, future newly-weds should also think about venue and the honeymoon destination. This is not easy however, with so many places to choose from and an overwhelming level of touristic attractions. Lets have a look at some of the options UK offers in this direction.

Chivalry-enamored maidens and modern knights in shining armors can always choose Glastonbury for their destination. Suspected for a long time of being the actual location of Avalon, Glastonbury has many attractions, both for couples who want to rediscover each other in romantic, history imbued scenery, and for the pairs struck by love at first sight and in search of the perfect place to say “Yes!” After the wedding, they can of course stay for the honeymoon and enjoy the local attractions, such as the Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts now a traditional event which this year takes place between 23rd and 27th of June.

Couples who want to fall in love not only with each other but also with the spectacular view of a breathtaking landscape can have their wedding organized in Cornwall. The sightseeing activities can relief the mind and soul of all worries, while the historical locations transport the visitors to a different time of romance and chivalry. This summer, Cornwall will be host to several events which make an excellent pass time for everyone: the Saltash Regatta & Waterside Festival from June 19 to 20, the Whiteford Music Festival at Callington to take place between July 16 and 18, and the St. Endellion Music Festival from July 27 to August 6.

Bristol has something to offer for everyone, whether it’s urban adventure or unique pastime activities. But for future-couples on the lookout for a nice venue to host their most happy day, the city offers a wide option of hotels and wedding locations. Moreover, during summer Bristol blooms with special events and attractions. Local farmers have a dedicated location which can be visited each Wednesday and the regional BBC studio offers the possibility to take a peek into the life of journalists and even to present the weather if one feels like it.

And while planning for the perfect wedding, nobody should forget to check out Birmingham. Although it is generally known as an industrial town, it is a most attractive destination and hosts more parks than any other European city. Moreover, it is the birthplace of the famous Cadbury Chocolates and of even more famous fantasy writer J.R.R. Tolkien. For a story-like wedding, couples should definitely pay the city a visit.

The Paragon Hotel was built in 1903 and is one of the magnificent wedding venues in birmingham hotel, a perfect example of Victorian Gothic architecture.
