Where You Should Go When You Visit Canada

By Maria Tillman

Calgary, Alberta

Calgary is set by the banks of the Bow River; it’s also not too far away from Alberta’s mind-blowing Rocky Mountains. 1 of Calgary’s most popular tourist destinations is the Calgary stampede. It’s an event with an enormous parade and rodeo, this mind-blowing show brings in over 1,000,000 crazy people per year. In the late 80′s, Calgary Alberta hosted the Winter Olympics, at Canada Olympic Park. Canada Olympic Park is an events centre made especially for snowboarding, luge, skiing, Bobsleigh, and also mountain biking (in the summer, of course)

Home of the NHL’s Calgary flames, the Pengrowth Saddledome and also for many shows and events in Alberta, Canada. Other amazing places to see include: Calgary Tower, Eau Claire Market, and GlenBow Museum.

Ontario is one of Canada’s largest cities ; Ontario is also one of the top tourist destinations inside Canada. Canada’s Capital , Ottawa housing Parliament Hill and lots of other cultural landmarks . Toronto is home to many events centres , also the stock market place, the CN tower and is also a multicultural society.

Toronto is in my opinion the most breathtaking of all towns in Canada; the world-famous Niagara Falls should be seen if visiting Ontario. There are many other amazing things to do in Ontario such as: the Stratford Festival, Oktoberfest, Thunder Bay, Muskoka and Parry Sound. If you love the outdoors, then Algonquin Park has a massive variety of canoeing, camping, hiking and other breathtaking wilderness activities to do

Quebec is a province in Canada with a very strong history and tradition. Quebec was formerly a French colony which has been always able to build upon and retain its strong ties to the history of the French , also their culture and lifestyle . Quebec is also known as one of the main centres for Canadian Genealogy.

Street signs and the front of shops let people know who are passing by in French first, and then in the English second . This is what gives Quebec a unique flair that the other provinces of Canada does not have.

Montreal is the 2nd largest city in Canada and houses a huge amount of worldwide and international events and festivals . The nightlife in Quebec is like no other . Montreal is very well known for it’s River Cruises. Make sure you visit this beautiful province if ever in Canada.
