Always utilize a auto seat or booster seat for your kid in the automobile when you take trips make certain that the seat and harness or safety belts that you use are weight and age acceptable. Your state might have laws that control the use of automobile seats or booster seats for children.

Take your child's measurement and weight a couple of times a year and keep control of them.

Compare these measurements to those commended by the automobile seat manufacturer

Are the measurements for your kid more than the seat’s weight and height limits?

When your kid is in his seat, determine whether his shoulders are higher than the top harness slots and whether his ears are higher than the auto seat? If any of these are true, it's time to modify your child into a new car seat.

If you have got a Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 car seat, this is simply a matter of removing the seat and altering it. The Nautilus has 3 different settings and will grow with your youngster.

A booster seat is endorsed for children until they weigh 80-100 pounds or they're taller than 4 feet 9 inches and can pass the Safety Belt Fit Test. Many kids will be between 8-12 years.

Booster seats can have a high back or no back at all. The backless booster seat is for older children and uses the cars shoulder belt and lap belt, check that these belts are taut against the child they are not twisted and that it is buckled in the correct way. Don’t permit the shoulder belt to go under thetoddler’s arm or behindher back

If a blanket is utilized buckle the belts first and then drape a blanket or cover over the child, don't put the blanket under the seat belt or behind the child. It'll interfere with the safety function of the safety belts .The backless booster seat is a seat only that raises the kid so that they use the cars own lap belt and shoulder belt. The seat isn't fixed but sits on the car seat.
