DVR security systems make use of digital video camera to capture videos. This is because digital video cameras save its files in digital format which are likely to maintain its integrity unlike the ones saved in analog format. The video quality of the feed will depend mostly on the quality of the video camera.
There are DVR systems in the market that can store more than a month’s worth of footage. These systems are geared mostly towards business or for people who travels a lot. This is because some DVRs allow you to watch their video footage, live as well as recorded, via the internet.
The components necessary for DVR surveillance systems are relatively small. Because of this, they can be customized to fit the security requirements of a home, office, or business.
Setting up a small retail DVR surveillance system is quite easy. It just needs the installation of the surveillance cameras which are then connected via cables to the DVR itself.
Some DVR systems are capable of storing as much as 6 terabytes of data. Some systems even features two-way voice communication, real-time video streaming, remote video monitoring, and automatic archiving.
A lot of places all over the world are utilizing their own DVR surveillance equipments. Their easy installation has led to many home owners and business owners into taking advantage of them in order to give them that extra layer of security.
Having DVR surveillance equipments has now become very trendy. This often leads to the question of their legality. However, as long as you do not videotape any places wherein privacy is needed such as bathrooms and changing rooms, then it is fine to use them.
